Transcript Request


HOW TO REQUEST AN UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT

Sun Valley Magnet School students may request an unofficial electronic transcript through email by following the steps below.

  1. Send an email using your LAUSD student email
  2. Title the email “UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT REQUEST”
  3. Include all of the following:
    • Full legal name & LAUSD student ID number
    • Purpose for unofficial transcript request. Just a brief explanation, no more than one sentence. Example: college application, scholarship, enrichment program, work, etc.
    • Available test scores such as AP, SAT, PSAT, SBAC, and EAP will be included on the document unless requested otherwise. These scores may not be considered official. If you would NOT like test scores noted on transcript, please state that clearly in the email.
    • Date the transcript is needed by
  4. Send to Ms. Lu’s LAUSD email: vythu.lu@lausd.net
  5. Please allow at least 7-10 business days for your request to be completed. An electronic unofficial transcript will be emailed to you within that time.


TIPS FOR SCHOLARLY STUDENTS

  • Send the request at least a week before your deadline.
  • Follow all of the instructions above so that your request will not be delayed.
  • Format the email in a professional manner. Begin with a greeting, write a clear and concise purpose, check your grammar and punctuation, thank the recipient, and end with an appropriate closing with your name and contact information.
  • Practice these tips in all of your correspondences!


IMPORTANT NOTE

*Electronic official transcripts may be sent directly to selected colleges and universities  through E-docs on Naviance. Please request on your student portal through Naviance.

**Official printed transcripts may be requested from the SVMS counseling office.
